    z udaju co jsme nasli to vypada, ze z pulky je urcena pro lidskou populaci, z casti pro technologicky procesy a jakozto krmivo je naprosto marginalne pro skot. nebo mas jine udaje?

    Volta Greentech is developing a scalable, sustainable, and automated land-based seaweed cultivation system - tailored for the selected species of seaweed that are crucial ingredients in Volta Seafeed. A land-based factory enables optimization of temperature, light, and nutrients to maximize the seaweed's growth rate while ensuring a high and standardized quality of the feed supplement.

    To meet the increasing global demand for the solution, we are rethinking how to produce seaweed at scale. Volta Seafeed has an immense impact potential, but as no one has been growing this type of seaweed at scale before, the global demand far exceeds the supply. Looking at existing production methods for seaweed, we quickly realized that we needed to take a different approach to reach the scale we are aiming for. Therefore, we went to the drawing board and looked at what would be necessary to produce Asparagopsis at scale for global implementation.

    The seaweed is grown in vertical bioreactors with sensors and automation in a controlled environment to maximize seaweed growth and quality to lower production costs

    Seawater is used as cultivation media and is naturally rich in nutrients. The seawater is recirculated in the system, and extra nutrients and CO2 are added to boost seaweed growth.

    The LED lights and the rest of the facility are powered by 100% renewable electricity. Waste heat from nearby industries is used to heat up the seawater and facility to the right cultivation temperature.

    TADEAS: že intenzivní pěstování na ha má rozhodně vyšší výnos než když se tam ta kráva pase. Ano to je pravda.
    Že je sója z JA na krmiva a ne pro vegany, to je taky pravda.
    Tráva je nutričně mnohem méně výživná než krmiva co pro ně pěstujem, proto se to tak dělá. To je taky pravda.

    LINKOS: myslel jsem si, ze je v amazonii dulezitej celej ten cyklus, tzn. vytezit drevo, pak soja, pak zvirata jako posledni faze. mozna to tak i je, ale vypada to, ze to financujou cely hodne kvuli tem zviratum, coz jsem nevedel.

    kvuli veganum se to urcite nedeje, deje se to kvuli agroprumyslu, kterej dodava maso.

    a deje se to proto, ze nemanagujeme ekosystemy, ale produkujeme potraviny, coz je prilis reduktivni pristup k managementu ekosystemu.

    While livestock production is the largest land user on Earth, simplistic thinking about dietary change must be avoided (Herrero and Thornton, 2013). Reviews of life cycle assessments of livestock systems and protein products show, definitively, that land use per unit of protein is generally lower with plant than animal sources (de Vries and de Boer, 2010; Nijdam et al., 2012). However, they also demonstrate a wide range among individual livestock products and among different systems producing the same livestock product. In addition to this variability in area of land required, the quality of land required differs as well. Modeling studies suggest that the largest fraction of land needs for ruminant animals are from forages and grazing lands (Wirsenius et al., 2010; Peters et al., 2014), which are often grown on non-arable land. Thus, reducing the most land-intensive products in the diet does not necessarily equate to freeing up land for cultivation.

    TADEAS: a opět, protože tobě to asi nedochází - rozšiřování polí se sojou není kvůli veganům. Rozšiřování polí se sójou je protože se tím krmí zvířata. Je o dva odkazy níže kolik potřebuje prohnat bílkovin zvířetem, aby si dostal to samé množství v masu.

    Psal si, že kvůli chovu hospodářských zvířat se Amazonie nekácí a naznačovals, jako by za to mohli snad vegani. To je naprosto objektivní nepravda.
