Spíš jde o to, že některé lifestlylové atributy, které se vnímají jako strašný znak modernity a vyspělosti, ve skutečnosti na nevědomé úrovnii vysílají signál "není tady už dost místa, nemnožte se" (příklad: už jen to, že většina pozemků ve městech je zastavěných a oplocených. může na nevědomé úrovni tenhle signál vysílat... vysvětlovalo by to, proč lidi z města zase prchají a snaží se o takovéto předměstské bydlení s vlastním kusem teritoria...)

Samozřejmě exstují i scénáře s bolestivými kolapsy. A (čistě teoreticky) existují i scénáře s postupnou změnou životního stylu...

The paper is the first to analyse and assign responsibility for the ecological damage caused by 160 countries over the last half century.
It finds that the US is the biggest culprit, accounting for 27% of the world’s excess material use, followed by the EU (25%), which included the UK during the analysis period. Other rich countries such as Australia, Canada, Japan and Saudi Arabia were collectively responsible for 22%.
While China overshot its sustainability limit to claim 15% of resource overuse, the poorer countries of the global south were en masse responsible for just 8%, the analysis found.

As we normalise high temperatures, extreme weather events, frequent flooding, loss of biodiversity and drastically declining insect, bird, animal and fish populations, we miss opportunities to notice what is happening to our world - the unravelling of the climate and our ecosystems.

"The science has never been clearer: to have any chance of retaining a habitable planet, greenhouse gas emissions must be cut radically now," the group continued. "Limiting warming to 1.5°C and responding to the climate emergency requires an immediate transformation across all sectors and strata of society, a mobilization of historic proportions: a climate revolution."

"The IPCC [has] avoided naming the major culprits for 30 years, which is one reason for the absence of real emissions cuts," the group added. "Facts detailing the complicity of the world's richest countries in fueling the climate crisis have been watered down by the IPCC's political review process."
