    SUMAC: leda Ariane 6, ale ta je ještě o něco slabší, než Vulcan. Ono i s New Glenn to měly být 3 starty (Číňanům bude pro lunární modul stačit jeden, ale pravda, míří zatím méně ambiciózně na místa v měsíčnípisných šířkách podobných, jako Apollo, ne k jižnímu pólu... díl problémy je ale i v nemožnosti dostat Orion na nízkou lunární dráhu, minimálně se současným horním stupněm SLS a jiný nebude)

    Měsíční prach náleží Akademii věd ČR, potvrdil Nejvyšší soud v neobvyklém sporu.

    Vzorky se do Československa dostaly v 70. letech díky vědecké spolupráci se Sovětským svazem, zůstaly ale rodině výzkumnice, která je jménem akademie převzala.

    Some LC-36 updates. Now that we’ve had access to the pad and integration facility we can share a bit of good news. The propellant farm, oxygen, liquid hydrogen and LNG tanks are all in good shape. This is good luck because these are very long lead items. The water tower is also good. The big support tower is damaged, but it can be repaired in place rather than torn down and replaced. The booster “Never Tell Me The Odds” and the three GS-2s that were onsite in the integration facility also look good.

    I’ve seen some speculation that we might move directly to the 9x4 configuration, but we won’t do that. Rate manufacturing of 7x2 is going well, and we’re going to continue that at pace as planned and store the stages for use. In addition, we had already been working for some time on eliminating our transporter-erector in favor of an alternative vertical conop, and we’ll now go directly to that; so we don’t need a new transporter-erector.

    We will fly again before the end of this year. Gradatim Ferociter.

    Dovoluji si odborne tipnout že tohle oznámení znamená že Svoboda poletí na Dragonu v létě za rok s Pesequetem jako kapitánem a možná bude sedět na sedadle vedle něho jako pilot. Můj tip, brácha se se Svobodou bavil teďka jak byl u nich v Estecu, ale mají embargo a nesmí nic říkat...

    "Bob Wood‘s academic journey began with a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Colorado in 1949. He furthered his education by earning a Ph.D. in Physics from Cornell University in 1953. His early career saw him working for General Electric Aeronautics and Ordnance, followed by a two-year stint in the U.S. Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground. In 1956, he joined Douglas Aircraft, which later became McDonnell Douglas and eventually Boeing, where he spent an impressive 43 years.

    During his tenure in the aerospace industry, Dr. Wood was involved in numerous groundbreaking projects. His work included the thermodynamics of missile cooling, managing independent research and development projects, antigravity research and investigations, designing radars to discriminate between Soviet ballistic missiles and their decoys, and contributing to the Space Station’s development. He also played a pivotal role in promoting the Delta launch vehicle as NASA’s workhorse for orbital payloads.

    Some of my senior engineers and I spent time at @blueorigin with @JeffBezos and @davill, speaking with the workforce and seeing the damage at LC-36 firsthand. I appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from those working through the aftermath and better understand the challenges ahead.

    There is a lot of work to do, but this is exactly why people choose careers in aerospace, whether at NASA, Blue Origin, or across the industry. The talent in this field thrives under pressure and performs at its best when solving the toughest problems.

    We have been saying for months at NASA that we are not going to sit on our hands and wait for the capabilities necessary to achieve the nation’s most pressing objectives. We are going to take an active role alongside our partners, just as we did in the 1960s, to overcome setbacks, remove obstacles, and deliver the intended outcomes.
    @NASA is committed to helping the Blue team recover, continue to advance their lunar lander and get New Glenn back to launching as soon as safely possible.
    America’s greatest achievements in space were never the result of avoiding setbacks. They came from overcoming them. We have done it before, and we will do it again🇺🇸

    XCHAOS: nebude i Blue Moon (Mark 2) potrebovat dotankovavani a tezsi variantu New Glenna?
    New Glenn ma dve varianty: 7x2 a 9x4, zatim letela jenom ta 7x2, a samozrejmne pro TLI landeru BM mk2 (40 tun) je potreba 9x4.
    BM mk2 je prilis tezky na to, aby ho NG 9x4 vynesl plny na TLI. Takze ho vynese jeno na LEO, kde bude dotankovany.

    Pro Artemis 3 se pocitalo s Blue Moon (Mark 1) a New Glenn 7x2. BM mk1 nebude mit misto pro posadku, ale otestuje vsechny potrebne systemy. Je tedy o hodne lehci, takze by ji mohly vynest i jine rakety .. staci si pockat.

    OTAVA: ja bych si pral, aby to dali do poradku za 3 mesice, jako Rusi rampu Soyuzy, ale taky to muze byt 15 mesicu, jako F9 s Amos-6. Ale tak snad si svoji rampu BO postavila robustne jako by to delali Rusi a ne "tohle je zbytecne" jako to delali ve SpaceX.
