politika dnešního světa je v agónii a dosáhla bodu, z něhož se budeme fakt těžko vzpamatovávat..
na piratech mám ráda, že nemají v podstatě žádnou ideologii a jedou na datech, evidence based approach..
takže klima se dostalo do popředí okruhů k řešení za poslední rok celkem jasně..

klima a sucho nejsou dvě oddělené věci a obojí je potřeba řešit jak v rámci světa, světadílů, států, tak i v krajích..

Co může dělat politik? Naši politici asi nic, reálnou moc nemají. Tu má Babiš, Putinovi agenti, ČEZ a další lobisti. A Merkel nebo Macron? Měli by vyhlásit to, co navrhuje princ Charles. Stav nouze, totální nasazení za záchranu planety. Odříznout se od fosilní a bankovní lobby. Je šance, že to udělají? Imho velmi malá. Hlasité protesty ze strany XR, FFF a dalších klimahnutí k tomu může pomoc, nic lepšího mě nenapadá. Máš nějaký lepší návrh?

Despite Donald Trump claiming that he was going to save the US coal industry, it has been dying a quick death under his administration. As CleanTechnica Director Zach Shahan reported yesterday, electricity from coal has dropped from 26.9% to 17.7% in the past few years.

The credit isn’t due to Trump, though — it’s the market doing what it’s been doing for much longer, pushing coal out. CleanTechnica readers knew Donald Trump’s claims that he’d “save” the coal industry were a lie when he made them on the campaign trail. The downward trend for coal was unstoppable. Coal had dropped from 50% in 2005 to 45% in 2010 to 33% in 2015 before the continued drop to 18% in 2020.

Prince Charles zjevně navrhuje ty uhelné elektrárny Tykačovi a Křetínskému rozbombardovat :-) Ostatně, s nálety mají spojenci zkušenost z té 2.světové, takže stačí ji zopakovat :-) To je aspoň slovo do pranice (a odpověď na mojí otázku "co byste udělali jako politici, ne jako aktivisti" :-)

GOJATLA: Technologie jsou teoreticky, ve formách prototypů, ale je těžké je škálovat. A to i směrem k osvícené menšině populace, která je fakt chce - natož pak směrem k čerstvě zbohatlým lidovým vrstvám všude možně po světě, které se vrhly na řešení svých národních či náboženských identit a jakoukoliv enviromentální kritiku vidí jen jako snahu Západu naházet jim klacky pod nohy a zabránit jim, aby planetě teď pro změnu chvíli šéfovali zase oni...

Hlavně silně pochybuju, že konzumní kapitalismus někdo "vnucuje". Promiň, ale když se k lidem v dosud zaostalejších dostane jakýkoliv výdobýtek, ať už v minulých desetiletích náklaďák nebo dneska mobil, tak se po tom vrhnou. O vnucování občas něčeho se dá mluvit snad jen v totalitní Číně, která nemá problém třeba nařídit celým vesnicím, aby se nastěhovaly do nově vybudovaných městských čtvrtí, apod. - ale v jiných zemí je přijímání konzumu velmi viditelně dobrovolné. Zejména ta Asie je jako celek přirozeně podnikavá a lidi tam spojuje snaha nacházet a využívat obchodní příležitosti.

Jedna věc je, že můžeš obvinit západní korporace třeba ze snah ovládnout nějaký dílčí vzácný surovinový zdroj nebo ochránit nějaké investice: to jsou samozřejmě mezinárodněpolitické hry, které je možné z jiných pozic kritizovat. Ale obecně ten konzum není vnucován, ale obyvatelstvo ho vyhledává, protože z jejich momentálního úhlu pohledu přináší konkurenční výhodu jim i celé zemi.

Představ si, že nejsi v roli aktivisty, ale v roli politika, který skutečně má v ruce nějaké nástroje, které může použít - jednak může nějaké použít doma, jednak v zahraniční politice. Co DOOPRAVDY můžeš udělat? Aby to mělo alespoň nepatrně smysluplný efekt?
